When you are watching one of your ClickLearn videos, each section header displays the image from the first step in the section: I think it would be really cool if we had the option to choose the image that displays on that screen, for a really neat and professionally-branded look. It would also be great to toggle whether you want the section header text to be visible (i.e. hide the text “Learning Objectives” in the above screenshot). My ideal outcome would be to have my own header image display here.
Hi, Is there any possibility to adjust the Alternative title via Description without opening the recording to be more efficient with editing? I am aware about an option (see picture below) via Description, but after clicking on the edit button ClickLearn will opening the whole recording which take some time to load. Kind regards,Gian
Would love for there to be a feature where a ruleset can be used for Authors’ materials to be sent to Administrators for approval. In this way, information management specialists could give Authors power to create but not publish Recordings until after they’ve been reviewed and approved by Admin.
There are some parts of my Show Me and Try Me videos that I would like to exclude from the Test Me video, and vice-versa. For example, removing some of the explanation of areas, and instead just asking the user to “demonstrate how to XYZ”, rather than talking them through the steps and telling them exactly what to do. It would also be really neat if we could incorporate quiz questions to the Test Me video. So ClickLearn would create the Test Me video automatically, as it does currently, but then have a separate “include in Test Me material” or “include in Show Me/Try Me material” for each content block/step, instead of just the one “include in video material” option. This would make it easier to format the Test Me video, make it more challenging, and just make it make more sense in a testing capacity. :)
For websites or apps that ClickLearn does not have a connector for, you get varied results on whether you can add annotations to a screenshot. To have a solid workaround it would be very useful if manually an author can highlight certain areas on a screenshot.
Currently the Attain OData feed provides the name of the user in the “UserName” column. The data in this column displays in various formats: First-name Last-name (E.g. John Smith) Email address (E.g. firstname.lastname@example.org) Email address but in place of the “@” and “.” characters, it is substituted with “_” (E.g. jsmith_emaildomain_com)It will be helpful to have a new column that only contains the users’ email address. The “UserName” requires a great deal of data manipulation to transform it into a single format. As well, the users’ email address was/is available in the Classic OData feed, it would be nice to have parity between the two. Thank you!
Enable the creation of a PDF-file "Full Portal download" based on the content of a segment or sub-segmentNew
Hi CL-Community & Development-Team, please support my request to enable the creation of a PDF-file (full portal download) based on the content of a segment or sub-segment.Within the top-level of a project, the “full portal download”-button creates a PDF document with the whole content of my project, which I’m fine with. However when navigating into a segment, I strongly recommend, that by using the “full portal download”-button it should only create a PDF-file with the content of my segment and possible sub-segments.This would help to create and structure more meaningful and dedicated PDF-files.Please validate my request and vote for it. Thanks in advance, Volker
Hi, I am creating Work Instructions and am using the Text Block - Side by Side Reverse to insert small images of additional commentary like Note, Stop, Hints & Tips, Decision Point, Next Step. (refer attached). It would be really good if there was a function like the Group or Text Block from the Written editor menu which quickly created the commentary block with choice of standardised symbols . If that is not possible at a minimum:A set of standardised symbols for the additional commentary mentioned in 1. Also good if you could select the type of theme you thought most applicable to your subject matter for the symbols.Examples below!Cheers
A company of our size could really benefit from this feature. Instead of having to navigate through our many folders, we could instead search the name of the recording and click a File Path link that would take us directly to the location of the desired recording.
Currently, when working in IFS Aurena, if I want to have users display the ClickLearn Assistant while in the application, they have to open the ClickLearn Chrome Assist extension, and copy and paste in the entire URL for our published portal. This has to be done every time you open a browser window and work in IFS.We have enabled URL forwarding, to make it easier for our business users to find our portal, but the Chrome Assist extension will not accept the shortened URL - it will only take the full portal URLIt would be helpful to have this because currently this URL needs to be pasted in every time a user opens up their browser - there is no ability to remember the URL or keep it populated in the extension. We now also have to train our end users to open the portal, copy the entire URL correctly, open IFS and the extension, and paste it in. The ability for the Chrome Assist extension to either accept the shortened URL, or remember the URL, would ultimately result in increased usage of
In an Attain project templates, we would benefit from a parameter that allow subtitles to be off be default for our recordings. In Attain, in order to have subtitles off for the entirety of a recording you need to: 1. Click on the first step2. Hold ‘Shift’ and click on the last step3. Click on the ‘Subtitle off’ button In the situation of adding new steps or notes to a recording, sometimes turning off the subtitle is missed. This creates inconsistency in our video outputs. Having a global setting will save time from doing this for each recording and ensure no steps and/or notes are missed.
Attn: Please pass to development team; Hello folks, Can you please consider improving the font selection and size for screen captions / sub-titles used in all video outputs? This was also an issue in ClickLearn Classic as well as Attain. Many of our users posted feedback to our eLearning that the font size for these is too small even if they maximise their screen. Thanks! Jim.Beaudoin@austal.comIFS Training LeadAustal Ships Pty Ltd.
I want to resize instruction images, zooming in and out as the context requires. When instructions are grouped, the image can be resized in the image editor under the “crop to group” setting. However, individual ungrouped instructions cannot be resized, only moved about, under the “crop to click area” setting. This means that practically every individual instruction I retain in my guides is in a single instruction group. This is clunky, and should be unnecessary.
We would benefit from having the flexibility to control the available sign-in options when users access a private project. Currently the available options are signing in with a ClickLearn account or one of the four Single Sign-on options (O365, Facebook, Google, LinkedIn). We encourage our users to use the O365 option as they have an existing user account and therefore do not have to remember an additional set of credentials. However, there is no way of stopping them from creating an account with ClickLearn. Occasionally, we receive support tickets from users that state their credentials do not allow them to access the ClickLearn project. This is because they are trying to enter their O365 credentials. Having the flexibility of choosing which sign-in options are available such as ONLY providing O365 will avoid this confusion. Thanks!
This feature request stems from a Peer Exchange post. With our own our software development process, we update some of our ClickLearn recordings (via replay) to fit with new release updates. These updates are made prior to the release but are only made public to our end users once the updated features to our software are deployed. With the recording versioning feature it would be nice to be able to:1. Create another version of an existing recording without having to create a new copy/file2. Select a previous version and publish it to the end-user3. Recall all previous versions to compare to existing version
I need to visit the ClickLearn Studio to review and make minor edits to recordings. I don’t actually do the authoring. Every time I log into the studio I am asked to close Chrome in order to update the CL extension. I realize I can click the ‘Cancel’ button but it would be nice if there was a ‘don’t ask me this again’ checkbox for users like me who don’t need to worry about the extension. Thanks for considering this idea!
Today it s possible to publish content public i.e. anyone how has the url can access it. It you publish the content in a restricted way you are able to select both white and blacklist on top of your preferred authentication method. I Think it would be beneficial to add this feature to the public way of publishing so that you can restrict access to your content to, for exempel, your Company’s public IP(s).
ClickLearn 18.104.22.168The “Restore Version” menu when you right click on a recording does not show the user who last updated the recording. To reproduce -User A creates recording. Saves, exits. (version 1.0)User A updates recording. Saves, exits. (version 1.1)User B opens recording. Makes no changes. Exits. (version 1.1)Right click the recording. The version history shows User B to have made the most recent changes, at the date User B closed the recording. This is misleading. Please fix.
It would be great if there was a way to add a hyperlink in a content block to a file located on our network. Example:\\network location\folder name\file name.pdf When using the “Link” function, it seems to only accept hyperlinks to Web addresses that contain “www”. I can enter the network location directly in the text block and it does show as a hyperlink. But it displays as the full path. I cannot give the link a name. Thank you.
We have a department that would like to use our modules, however they would like to plan how long it would take someone to view all the existing modules. It would be ideal if there was a location in the Portal that indicates how many total hours of recorded video there is, as well as per Heading (group)If one department was only interested in viewing a particular group of modules, it would be ideal to know how many hours for that single group.Hopefully this is something that ClickLearn can add.It would definitely assist in planning training initiatives. We typically maintain meta-data to indicate for which business unit, region or department content is relevant for. When people are using the search functionality in the ClickLearn portal they would like of course to only visualize content that is relevant for them so it would be a big help to foresee filter options in the search on meta-data.And even go a step further and allow users to save a default filter selection so they don’t need to do this selection at every search.
HiI have had a meeting with Tobias from your support today regarding an integration between click learn and Atlassian Confluence. We would like to use Confluence to collect all documentation but still create ‘how-to’s’ in click learn. In some way we would like to show the click learns/portal in confluence but also make the different click learns searchable from confluence.
When creating a new section can the window stating “Add a new section” state whether you are using:Insert before Insert afterIf interrupted, at this point, I have to close the new section window, go back and follow the steps again, and remember if I selected Before or After. Would it be possible to add to the “Add a new section” header of the window to include the Before or After? So the window reads: (See Insert Window Image for the window being referred).Add a new section before Add a new section afterAttached are a couple screenshots.
Could a notification icon be added to CL Attain notifying us that an update or release has been done? The notification icon would stay there until you clicked on it and opened the details. I don’t frequently check to see if one was done, but I certainly would if there was something prompting me.Lorie L
I was asked to add my question as an idea and feature request. The original question… I enjoy watching Morten’s corner and love that Morten is able to record himself using CL. As training new employees, I would like to be able to record myself using CL instead of having to personally train each employee. Is this a software you use within CL that allows you to record yourself or do you use something else?REPLY...May I kindly suggest you consider posting this as a feature request. I think you both have some good reasons behind, to want this to be available in the product. If you post it as a feature request, I will make sure we have Joachim look into whether it would be viable to make it available. Thank you for considering this option. Lorie L
