Promote updated structure to Company ClickLearn portal

Hi there!  Inside of your project, the fourth icon below the Structure is the Publishing menu. Here is a link to another page here in our ClickLearn Community that will take you step by step through the process of setting up your structure to be published anywhere!  This video is about 25 minutes long, but if you scroll ahead to about the 12:45 time, from there you can follow along so you can get your materials published, too.

Annoying Pop Up of Christine Tutorial

Hi there! This was a known issue recently brought to our attention and as of today (15 March, 2022) that fix was included in the release that was dropped.  Please log out of your Attain application and log back in to allow the update.  Let me know if the issue persists… I know I’d go crazy looking at my own face popping up every two minutes. ;) Kind regards,Christine

In Attain, when would you use a Group vs. an Annotated Screenshot?

It depends upon what type of materials you are planning to create.  Once you’ve completed the recording, there may be several steps that are in the same place on a page, so grouping the steps together will make things like the webpage, Word & PDF docs and the PowerPoint easier to navigate.  If you group several steps together there will be less pages to print out, less screen scrolling for the web page and the slide deck will just show the grouped items on one slide, not each individual one. The annotated screenshot would be more useful if you are creating a ‘one-pager’ or a handout, where you just want to highlight a variety of items on one page.  After you take the annotated screenshot (it’s just one step) and open the editor, you click the step to access the Annotation Image Editor.  In there you can crop the screen to only the items you want to highlight (example:  the icons across a ribbon or buttons on the navigation menu).  Then use the annotation function to click on the it

Survey on how to create good user documentation

Oh, I am so excited for you to be taking on this topic…. one of my favorites!  Let me just share one little snippet so others can chime in.  Whenever I hear someone say that printed documentation is what the end-users want, I reply with - ClickLearn is the PERFECT solution for creating your learning materials!  Since ClickLearn creates 7 different learning materials SIMULTANEOUSLY, you can pick and choose which types of materials for your end-users to consume.  If you just rely on printed materials only, just imagine that you have printed out 30 manuals to bring into a live, in-classroom training session.  You also have a PowerPoint presentation with all the screen captures that you meticulously crafted. As you are setting up the classroom, you receive an email letting you know that there is a new customized field that has been added to the process and will need to be included in your manual!  It will be frustrating for you to have all those attendees marking up their brand new manuals

Meet the Community | Introduce yourself
