And thanks for the feedback! 😊Unless you have a very high level of security and you need everything to be behind your own firewall, I would recommend that you publish your content to the cloud and then share the content URL with your end users. Alternatively, you can download the produced content and then drag it to your own webserver. In other words I would keep it “above the line” to have all cloud services available.Thank you for asking!BR Lars

Hi Kylie,It certainly is an option but be aware that it will require manual maintenance going forward – so keeping the documentation updated will require a lot of work compared to just replaying the recordings. BR Lars

Hi Mesh.Chapters & subchapters are handled in the structure in ClickLearn Attain, so it works differently than what you already know from the Classic version of ClickLearn.I was wondering if you knew we have the Q&A sessions weekly, and you are welcome to join with any Attain questions you have. Can you move chapters to subchapters or vise versa easily?

Dear Hayley, Yes, it is easy to do. You simply delete the chapter/subchapter and insert new chapters/subchapters where you want them – alternatively you can cut/paste using the right-click menu. Just remember one rule; if you want to insert a chapter/subchapter it will be added just before the element you are marking. I hope it makes sense! 😊 BR Lars

Branching in Recordings

Hi Kevan, Thanks, that is a very good question and to some extent it will rely on “gut feeling”. I would always recommend not to do branching if you have other options. If it makes sense to split the process into two I would do so. The second option I would recommend is documenting the process to the point where the decision needs to be made and then end the documentation by referring the two other options. The purpose of my suggestions is to keep the guides as short as possible and keep everything as simple as possible for the end user. Relating this to your example I would end the first part of the process with a note saying something like: “ If the customer doesn’t exist in the in our system please follow the guide Create New Customer…”. So the main process is covering the scenario where the customer exists in the system. You could also consider having a note in the beginning of the process stating the prerequisite that the customer must exist in the system. Last option would

Chrome Connector Extension

Hi Meinhard. Very good question! In ClickLearn Studio there is a “ClickLearn Learning Portal” - here you can find a lot of useful information. You can simply just hit the F1 key in ClickLearn Studio and it will open, or go to the “Help” menu and click on “Contents”. You can also open it in a browser using this link: https://help.clicklearn.com/ClickLearn%20Learning%20Portal/ClickLearn%20Learning%20Portal.htm In the learning portal you will find the guide on how install the extension in the book called “Web Browser support” and the guide itself is named “Google Chrome connector”. Screen Sharing ClickLearn Captures

Hi JMP,   I am not entirely sure from your description what your scenario is exactly. If you want to record with ClickLearn, ClickLearn must be running on the same Windows Desktop, as the application you want to record. In your example, if you want to screen-share your computer while recording something on it with ClickLearn, and at the same time using a screensharing application to show and communicate with a colleague, there should be no problem in this. But your colleague cannot record a process on your computer, with ClickLearn on his own computer, even through the screensharing application. This is not supported. I hope this clarifies. BR Lars

Building Effective Training Programs

Hi Ron, I absolutely agree! It is vital to IT processes that you know why you are going through a process and how the IT processes are connected to the business processes. One way of showing the business processes to the end users could be by adding the processes to the recordings. If you have your processes documented fx in Visio or some other tool you could add images from the business processes into notes in a recording. You could also add a “purpose” chapter into your recordings and then add a note below the chapter that describes the business process and how it fits into the process. To ensure that this information is added to all your processes I can recommend adding a chapter and a note into your template – then it will appear for all authors to remember. Then they will be able to learn how to fish, and catch the fish! ;-) BR Lars

Meet the Community | Introduce yourself

Hi, I am one of the “old hounds” here at ClickLearn and started back in September 2016 as the second employee in ClickLearn, as a Training Manager. During my time here I have been doing demos, conferences and multiple training sessions, both pre-sales and for our customers all around the world. Throughout most of my career I have focused on training, user adoption and implementation of IT-projects. When I am not at work, I spend time with my 4 kids or go running, cycling or playing skater hockey. I also enjoy imitating a carpenter and build stuff. My passions is 3D instinctive bow shooting and I actually was a Danish champion back in 2012 😊 I am really looking forward to interacting with our customers here in the community! BR Lars
