FIXES Recording EditorEditing steps in the editors apart from the written editor is not possible. This issue is now fixed. Studio crashing is prevented while editing the annotated screenshot with a huge number of captured controls. StructureThe structure is now stabilised. LocalizationIn localization, the navigation between recordings and assets has been optimized. MetadataMetadata with default values will now populate on new recordings and recordings imported from local. ClickLearn Attain version 12.1.16.0 release notes

FIXESConnectorAcumatica is now supported by ClickLearn. Support for the new Google Chrome browser is now released. LoginApostrophes are now accepted in email addresses for Attain Studio login. ProjectsRestricted the import of projects with special characters. In-app tutorials were sometimes overlaying voices in videos. This issue is now fixed. RecordingThe recorder will now support the Chinese locale machine, which was previously not storing the steps if recorded. Recording EditorAfter navigating through a couple of steps in the video editor, the play button was not reacting. This issue is now fixed. In a recording that starts with an empty note followed by an image block displays the image of the step against the note in video preview. This issue is now fixed. LocalizationTo use the translate dialogue, you can use the "Auto Translate" and "Use Same Text" buttons without using the "Edit" and "Commit" buttons.

One important decision that you'll need to make when using ClickLearn is whether to use it on-premise or in the cloud. Here's what you need to know about the differences between these two options:ClickLearn Source FilesIf you choose to use ClickLearn on-premise, you'll miss out on all of the collaboration features that come with the cloud version. While individual files can be shared, they will be two separate versions, which can lead to version conflicts. To avoid this, it is recommended that you define and establish an authoring and publishing process internally.Additionally, files have to be stored locally, and they cannot be shared or loaded into multiple ClickLearn studio instances. CLOSED: Network latency and/or timeouts when accessing ClickLearn services

Microsoft is currently reporting a major incident affecting all their Azure service regions. As a result ClickLearn online services are also affected. CLOSED: Production and publishing affecting EU based customers

Customers based in our European-based Microsoft Azure datacenter are currently experiencing problems with producing and publishing content. One of the underlying Microsoft services is currently down. To avoid downtime on your published content, do not start publish process to re-publish updates. No problems with existing, already published content have been reported.UPDATE NOV 16TH 14:45 CET:Service seem to be back online and production and publishing is now again completing without issue. If you had problems with your publishing operation earlier today, please perform the operation once more to resolve the issue.

CLOSED: When recording webapps in Google Chrome

Last week we fixed an issue which occurred when recording any webapps in the latest version of Google Chrome, where screenshots would not be captured, or would be completely off. Unfortunately Google made a new release recently, which re-introduced the issue. Our developer team is currently working on a fix to come out with the next release of ClickLearn. As soon as the fix is completed, we will initiate the release process. As a work-around, you can use the (chromium-based) Microsoft Edge browser. Remember you need to install the ClickLearn Chrome connector. UPDATE NOV 11 10.30am CET:Our team has been unable to replicate the issue, and apart from one colleague reporting the issue yesterday, we have not heard from any customers facing this issue. If you have problems recording webapps on Google Chrome browser, please contact our support desk.

Formatting will now be maintained while we translate from translate dialogue in recording editor. Play pause experience in video editor is now enhanced. Update date and time in task window is now fixed. Validation on domain name change window is now updated. Domain name cannot be updated while more than one user is using studio. IFS scope improvements while importing. New word template is available in publishing template. "Entire screen" crop now works for keyboard steps. Opening a recording after sort is now fixed. APT Test would save even if no data points are assigned. If any internet glitch detected, studio will now ask to re-open the project if other user has updated and closed the project. APT screenshot will now support IFSApps9 to select and define values in the test.

Target audienceYour target audience are the end-users which will consume the content you produce with ClickLearn. They are the ones whom you create content for. Your target audience is important to keep in mind when organizing your content. Content should always be organized in a way, which is intuitive for them to navigate and browse, and which makes it easy for them to find and consume the content they need.Keeping recordings cleanOne of the main benefits of recording with ClickLearn is the application will automatically capture screenshots and insert matching instructions. Authors always have the option to overwrite automatically captured instructional texts with their own manually created text. This should however be avoided whenever possible to ensure recordings can be easily updated, translated and/or tested through ClickLearn Replay. Attain: Optimization of production engine

With the 12.0.0.172 release of ClickLearn Attain (September 21st, 2021) our developers have build-in new improvements to the production engine. In internal testing on a sample 85 recording dataset, we are consistently getting a minimum 25% decrease in production times, depending on template configuration of included learning formats (pdf, ppt, doc, videos).One of the primary changes is that ClickLearn now only produces changes made since last cycle, whereas in previous releases production always included the full dataset. In internal testing on a sample 85 recording dataset, either with changes in 1 recording or after re-ordering structure, we have noticed up to 80% decrease in production time.I have posted the detailed stats below. Please remember content production times may vary wildly from one project to another, all depending on your template configuration, the size (number screenshots) of your recordings, number of recordings, number of languages, and other factors.

Attain: Download MSI installation package for ClickLearn Studio

For some customers, the IT environment the ClickLearn solution must fit into, can be restricted to only allow distributing the authoring software ClickLearn Studio from a centrally managed system. To fit this scenario, ClickLearn provides a MSI installation package, which customer can download from inside the ClickLearn portal. Use the ClickLearn portal URL and navigate to Releases, and click Download Attain MSI.Go to your ClickLearn portal Sign-in with your ClickLearn Attain credentials (choose forgot password if needed) Use left-side menu to access Releases Click top-right “Attain MSI” dropdown and select first option from top Wait 1-2 minutes for file prep to finish Click on notification in top-right corner and click DOWNLOAD to download file  Please note: ClickLearn software installed via MSI will not auto-update but will require a centrally managed update procedure to be completed, using the latest MSI from ClickLearn.

Setup required when recording web apps

Your license may include one or more connectors for web apps. A web app is application software that runs on a web server, unlike computer-based software programs that are run locally on the operating system (OS) of the device. Web applications are accessed by the user through a web browser with an active network connection.Supported web apps include but are not limited to Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC, CRM and Finance & Operations, IFS Aurena and SalesForce.When recording web apps with ClickLearn, ClickLearn supports recording only through the Google Chrome and/or the chromium-based Microsoft Edge browser.
