Launch ShowMe with URL

Did you know that you can build and share a URL to automatically launch a user directly into a Showme video? Just add: &t=showme to the end of an existing recording URL ! Example: https://help.clicklearn.com/ClickLearn%20Learning%20Portal/ClickLearn%20Learning%20Portal.htm?b=Product%20Documentation&r=Introduction&t=showme If this doesn’t work in your environement and if you are comfortable working with your template, add the following to ASIDEOBJECT_JSV. Recording actual PowerPoint Presentations

Background: In order to introduce a system process you may find it valuable to provide users with a topic introduction that provides context of how all recordings within a given book are related.  For regular classroom training this typically involved providing PowerPoint presentations before diving into the system demonstrations and exercises.  At PCL we currently refer to these as “Overview” recordings. Preparation of PowerPoint content: If you intend to create multiple overviews, create a PowerPoint template (.potx) so all overviews will retain a similar look (same slide sequence, layouts color/fonts etc.)  You may also want to use this template to generate your Intro and Outro images. One of the core elements we wanted was to use standard swimlane diagrams to explain the parties and functions they perform. Each of the boxes typically relates to a subsequent recording. How come audio gets clipped short when content published to ClickLearn Portal?

When we produce and preview content locally the Show Me Audio works fine.  When we publish the exact same recording to the ClickLearn Portal, audio of each step gets clipped short.  It doesn’t seem to matter what the length of the text is.  We have even noticed this problem with content in ClickLearn help portal.  For example:   https://help.clicklearn.com/ClickLearn%20Learning%20Portal/ClickLearn%20Learning%20Portal.htm?b=Product%20Documentation&r=Introduction How are folks resolving or getting around this issue?
