Finding Quality Expired Domains for SEO — What Metrics Actually Matter?

Buying an expired domain based only on DA is never enough. Before purchasing, it's important to check the backlink profile, Wayback history, spam signals, and real traffic — otherwise you can easily end up with a penalized domain.

Lately I've been using Karma Domains to find expired domains — it brings together domains from 40+ auction sources like GoDaddy, Dynadot, and Namecheap in one place, with filters for Ahrefs DR, Moz DA, Majestic TF/CF, Semrush, and SimilarWeb traffic, plus a full Wayback history in the domain report. A handy part is that you can search without signing up first.

One downside is that good domains get taken very quickly, and even with all these metrics it's still worth manually verifying a domain's history before bidding.
