So we have tried making a guide for iphone but have hit a roadblok in that using screenshots the background when watching the video contains image of a word dokument.
It is belived this stammers back from when the guide was created as it had to start with a recording, the recoding have been deleted from the guide and now only the screenshots remain but in the video guide the recording is still there and it enlarges the area making it very hard to see the iphone screenshots.
Anyone who has tried a similar concept or has an idea how to fix it?
Hi Søren,
There are a few ways to record a phone.
option 1: use a phone screen-recorder to record the process, then upload that video as an asset. This will give you only a standalone mp4 video.
option 2: take screenshots of each process part, then use the windows photo viewer in full screen mode to click with the mouse on each action on each screenshot, edit the instruction text per step and adjust the hotspot / highlight. This will create a the full 6 learning formats, including interactive video where the user can click through the video, as well as the SCORM test package and everything.
option 3: use a webbased emulator, your milage may vary but in theory this should be the most effective way to record and require the least post editing.
We are looking into if option 1 is possible with what we have avilabel, we have tried option two the problem is in order to make a guide we cant start with nothing (or dont know how) so we start with a random screen capture lasting a sec, that we delet but that sets the reselution for the movie part of the guide that rembers that setas seen in the image below the screen captures are on the left but even though we have removed the 1 sec video the word is still kept showing for the entire movie guide.

That same step looks like this in the pdf guide:

Any way around that?
it looks like you are using option 2 - for this i would recommend you change the setting in the video editor for each content block, have a look at the highlighted settings:

try to change those to your liking. The above example will center the image and make everything else white (the background around the image).
How do we get those settings?
We only have:
