Running ClickLearn on Mac
ClickLearn is a Windows-native application. To use it on a Mac, run it inside a Windows virtual machine (VM).

Windows Licensing
A valid Windows 10 Pro or Windows 11 Pro license (retail or volume) is required inside the VM.
Virtualization Software
- Parallels Desktop (recommended - best performance on Apple Silicon)
- VMware Fusion (paid / free for personal use)
- UTM (free, open source)
- VirtualBox (free, Intel Macs only)
Setup Steps
- Install your chosen virtualization software
- Create a new Windows 10/11 VM with the resources above
- Install Windows and activate with your license key
- Install ClickLearn and any applications you plan to document
- Activate your ClickLearn license
Performance Tips
- Close unnecessary Mac applications while running the VM
- Enable hardware acceleration in VM settings
- Store project files on the VM's virtual disk
- Allocate more RAM to the VM if you experience slowdowns
Note for Apple Silicon Macs (M1/M2/M3/M4): make sure your virtualization software supports ARM-based Windows, or can run x86 Windows with acceptable performance.

Hardware
- Minimum 10GB available HDD storage
- Minimum dual-core CPU (1.5 GHz or higher), recommended 4-core CPU
- Keyboard with two ctrl keys recommended, and mouse (using raw input)
