- Recordings can now be linked directly from the Insert Hyperlink dialog, from the current project or another project, without publishing them first.
- Search in the UXP now tolerates typos, finds content with similar meaning, and shows the best matches first.
FEATURES
Alfred
- Unlock instant support with Alfred, your in-app assistant! Get real-time help right when you need it, plus easily access your organization's ticket submissions.
ENHANCEMENTS
Recordings
- Previously, to link Recording B in Recording A, you first had to publish Recording B, copy its link and then add it to Recording A. You can now click "Browse recordings" in the Insert Hyperlink dialog and select a recording from the current project or another project, without publishing it first.
- When a linked recording is no longer in the structure, has not been produced, or belongs to a project that is not published, a warning is now shown in the publishing report. Content published before this release must be produced and published again to use the new links.
Structure
- You can now remove all missing elements in the structure, or replace each one, from a single dialog instead of locating every element in the structure.
Localization
- A new "Show auto-translated only" option has been added to the View filter in the Localization editor, and the filter button now shows the full name of the selected option.
Settings
- The Select Narrator dialog has been redesigned with a search box, a combined Female/Male/Recommended filter and a dialect dropdown, all of which work together to narrow the list of voices.
Publishing
- The producer has been optimized to improve Produce & Publish and cancelling a production.
UXP
- Search in the UXP has been improved. It now tolerates typos and finds content with similar meaning, searches the description of assets as well as the subject, and shows the best matches first: titles matching all words, then titles matching any word, then content matches. Typo tolerance applies to English, French, German and Spanish.
- Closing a dialog without saving will now ask whether you want to save your changes, so your configuration is not lost.
Copy to Blob
- A progress indicator is now shown while content is being copied to Azure Blob storage, and a new history page shows what was uploaded, to which blob, and whether it succeeded.
FIXES
Login
- After installing a new version of Studio, users had to sign in again even though "Remember me" was selected. Sign-in settings are now kept when upgrading to a new version.
Projects
- After renaming a project, the old name still appeared in the project list. The project list now shows the project name in the default language.
- Importing a project showed an activity entry saying the user had created the structure, instead of saying the user had imported the project. This issue is now fixed.
Recordings
- In some cases, a recording was reported as saved even though the upload to the server had failed, and the changes were lost. Studio now shows "Save failed" when a save does not reach the server, lets you retry up to 3 times, and does not close the recording until it is saved or you choose "Don't save".
- When a replay failed and the editor was opened from the failure message, the editor opened in English instead of the language being replayed. This issue is now fixed.
- In languages other than the one a flow question was written in, a Yes/No question showed only an "OK" button in the Flow editor, and the answer options were missing in the edit dialog. The answer options are now taken from the primary language when they have not been translated.
- Copying and pasting a step with an annotation increased the size of the recording file, even when the changes were discarded. This issue is now fixed.
Recording Editor
- Spell check in the written editor marked every word as misspelled because the dictionary was missing. Missing dictionaries are now downloaded, and if there is no dictionary for a language, the dictionary of the parent language is used (for example, en-US for en-GB).
- Changing the narrator voice for video notes also changed the default narrator voice for that language in Project Settings. The voice is now saved for the video note only.
- In the video editor, selecting the other answer to a Yes/No flow question kept both answers selected, so the wrong steps were played. Only the selected answer is now used. This also applies to published Show Me and Try Me content.
- When one or more video notes were attached to a step with a blurred area, the blur was missing or briefly disappeared. The blur is now shown correctly for every attached video note, and the duration of a step now includes the time of the notes attached to it.
- In Show Me videos, the subtitle covered the control when the control was near the bottom of the screen. The control bar and subtitle now move to the top for such steps, as in Try Me and Test Me. Please republish the content to see the effect.
- A note set to keep with the previous or next step was still shown in the Assist preview, even though it was excluded from Assist. This issue is now fixed.
- The size and position values of an annotated screenshot depended on the zoom value of the preview. They no longer depend on the zoom value.
- A row number assigned in the data editor could not be changed using "Set to row number" from the context menu. This issue is now fixed.
Feature Tour
- Importing a recording that contained only PPT Narration and AI Summarization into a Feature Tour displayed a "File not found" error in the preview. The Assist and video are now shown.
- Narration steps in a Feature Tour displayed a deprecated image placeholder even when an image was configured. This issue is now fixed.
Structure
- After a text element in the structure was edited as rich text, it could still be edited from the properties as plain text. Plain text editing has now been restricted for such elements. Strikethrough formatting in text elements is also saved now.
- Pressing Tab or Shift+Tab did not always show which element had focus, moved focus to controls in the background, and did not work in the structure. This issue is now fixed.
Assets
- Files and folders with invalid names (for example, containing "+") could be uploaded using drag-and-drop, even though they were blocked in the file selection dialog. Drag-and-drop now uses the same validation, including for folder contents, the publishing template image field, custom structure icons and step images.
Localization
- Steps with a text block and an image block were reported as missing by the analyzer, but did not appear under "Missing only" in the Localization editor. Such steps now show as missing until the image is translated, and the View filter now applies the selected option.
- Auto-translating a recording to English failed with an error when the primary language of the project was not English and English was a secondary language. This issue is now fixed.
Publishing
- Production could stop responding without showing an error, leaving the progress at 0%. Errors are now logged, and progress messages are no longer cut off.
- Downloading a published recording as PDF gave a "File not found" error when the recording had chapters and sub-chapters. This issue is now fixed.
- The SCORM card and package link were not generated when publishing with the on-premise deployment option. This issue is now fixed.
- Clicking "Complete" in the Publishing Guide after a successful publish froze the application for 1 to 2 minutes. This issue is now fixed.
- After changing steps, the old avatar remained visible until the new avatar had been generated. Old avatar videos are now removed.
- The details window showed avatar information from a later version when an older version was set as active. It now shows the avatar information of the active version.
- The screen briefly turned black when setting a published version as the active version. This issue is now fixed.
- Several UI issues on the publishing page have been fixed, including the Endpoint URL running outside the Details panel and the Avatar section text being clipped.
- The "All languages" link in the UXP Links section now has a tooltip, and fallback languages are shown with their language codes.
- The loader did not spin continuously while publishing. This issue is now fixed.
- Memory usage on the server spiked when several users published large projects and shared recordings at the same time. This issue is now fixed.
Settings
- The "Create new set..." option under Move to in Manage Metadata showed an error. The metadata is now moved to the newly created set.
- Norwegian narrator voices spoke Danish. This issue is now fixed.
- Changing a custom colour, for example in the UXP template settings, crashed the application when Studio did not have write access to the colour settings file. This issue is now fixed.
UXP
- The UXP icon was not displayed consistently. This issue is now fixed.
- The UXP extension did not store the content URL correctly. This issue is now fixed in the latest UXP extension.
- Users were constantly logged out of the UXP extension, for example after restarting the browser or after the UXP was idle for 1.5 to 2 hours. This issue is now fixed.
- Users could not sign in to the UXP in a new project where UXP was enabled and Assist was disabled. This issue is now fixed.
- In a multi-language UXP, some text was shown in a different language from the content (for example, Japanese and English mixed), and some strings were not translated even though they were defined in the language template. The UXP panel now uses the language of the configured content URL.
Published Content
- In the learning portal, changing the language reverted to English. This issue is now fixed.
- With the modern template, embedded PDF files in the published content appeared in a small layout. Embedded PDF files are now displayed properly.
Connector
- Assist in IFS selected Cancel instead of OK, and Preview instead of OK, in dialogs. This issue is now fixed. Please re-record the steps to see the effect.
- Assist did not work on lobby page cards and links in IFS. This issue is now fixed. Please re-record the card steps to see the effect.
- Replay in IFS did not select the correct value from a filter dropdown in a table. This issue is now fixed.
- Replay clicked the dropdown button instead of the input field for fields with a dropdown. This issue is now fixed.
- The ClickLearn Assist extension stopped the IFS Cloud DevTools browser extension from working. The Assist extension has been updated to fix this.
- Replay and Assist failed in Salesforce Service Console > Accounts. This issue is now fixed. Please re-record the steps to see the effect.
- Recording in Acumatica did not capture the text of buttons such as "Add New Record". This issue is now fixed. Please replay the recording to see the effect.
- Annotated screenshots could not annotate a checkbox inside a table in Business Central. This issue is now fixed, and the annotated screenshot should be captured again.
Security
- Applied security updates to bundled third-party libraries and components.
This release continues our focus on platform stability and usability, introducing Alfred for instant in-app support, easier linking between recordings, and smarter UXP search, along with fixes across recordings, the recording editor, publishing, UXP, and connectors.
We encourage you to try Alfred and the new recording links, and we look forward to your feedback. Happy authoring!
