Is it possible to use URL-Links with placeholders for different IFS-systems?

We want to use links into the IFS system with project defined server-address.

example:

https://<server>:<port>/main/ifsapplications/web/page/DocumentRevision/Form

The parameter ‘server’ and ‘port’ should be defined global in the ClickLearn-Project.

With that feature, it is possible to compile the project for a training-system and live-system without changing all the links in the recordings.

Here is a potential workaround but with a question:

Is it possible to us a URL file and open it automatically after click on a link in the Clicklearn recording?

Hi Eduard,

What you can do is that you can link to different published ClickLearn projects from the different IFS systems by using the lobby shortcuts, or by using links in the navigation pane (recommended, as it is then globally available).

From within ClickLearn, you can also link to different IFS systems. Either from the structure using the hyperlink feature, or from inside a recording using the text block.

Hi Morten,

thanks for the response.

All that suggestions are ok and work good in projects with smal amout of links. I am searching for a comfortable way to sync the IFS system adress with the ClickLearn Project automatically. We want to use a lot of links in the help system ClickLearn. It makes many effort to maintain a project with lot of links.

Makes it sense to transform that problem to an idea suggestion?

regards,

Eduard

Hi Eduard,

If i understand your request right, then you can create multiple projects and then use the IFS roles to determine which links are available - ensuring that each relevant role  has the project link / links they need.

Yes. We have in minimum a Test-System and a Live-System. Both should be able to use Links to the specific system. After Changes in System there will be modifications on the Help-System Clicklearn too. After successfull Tests there is only a change in a global parameter from Test-System to Live-System and the working ClickLearn modifications can be published.  It is not necessary to make the same changes in an additional Project.

Hi Eduard,

i am not sure exactly what you need, can you email us at support or contact your CSM, please?
