What is replay?

Replay is an advanced feature which allows you to have ClickLearn re-record your work instruction on your live system.

When is it used?

The replay feature is typically used when you wish to reflect UI changes, system updates, modification to data, an additional UI language, or field labels in your work instruction without having to re-record everything manually.

Why would a replay fail?

99% of the time when replay fails it is due to the data. clicklearn records and captures the actual data in the system, for example when you select data from a table then each cell from each column will have its value recorded, and if any of the data has changed, then you are basically asking clicklearn to click something that no longer exists, hence the replay would fail.

Can I revert my changes so I don’t have red screens saying “replay failed”?

Yes, by right-clicking the recording you can chose “restore version”, and just chose the version prior to the replay. The version number will increment so that you could even restore to the time the replay failed if you were so inclined.
