Hello and welcome to today’s developer’s diary post! Today we will look at a new feature that will make it easier to record your work instructions with ClickLearn while avoiding the known pitfalls. It will most certainly be a big help to authors who are new to ClickLearn. When you start a new recording, you will first decide what to name your new recording, which language you are recording, and where you want to save it: Create new recording Next, you will be presented with an (optional) visual guide which highlights the important routines, most experienced authors will be familiar with. Below you will find an animated GIF of the guide: Create new recording guidance When you end your recording, you will now get a (optional) summary of it shown here, with options to go to the editor or back to the list of recordings or discard your new recording. Recording summary What do you think of the new recording process? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.
Hi all,Here is an update on the Attain release! We are pleased to announce our new Attain solution was released internally on Oct 2nd as planned. We unfortunately have had to delay the release to general availability due to delays in delivering associated services including related backend services, support services and in-app assistance services. We are sorry to disappoint those of you who have eagerly awaited to experience the release. We will be showing Attain during Get Smarter: Attain next week, and we expect all associated services to be ready right after the conference, which means we can start releasing Attain to those of you who have signed up for the release.Stay tuned for more updates!/Team ClickLearn

Hello and welcome to this developer’s diary about our upcoming major release codename “ClickLearn Attain”. In these posts we will introduce you to new features, workflows or other relevant items of interest we plan to introduce in the product. As it is work-in-progress, contents can be subject to change. Today we will look closer at projects, which is a feature that introduces a new way to work and collaborate in ClickLearn. Create new projectAll work in ClickLearn Attain will be organized in projects. You get to define which type of project you are working on, which languages to include, which platform you wish to deploy content onto, and some basic content styling configuration. Your choices help us make your work in ClickLearn a lot easier. Here are a few more screen shots: Projects will also enable true collaboration on a number of tasks such as authoring and reviewing, translation, and more. We will cover collaboration in depth in a future Developer’s Diary post. You can
One of the more frequently requested features has been the ability to use the hotspot on screenshots, and to blur confidential or sensitive parts of an image - we listened! With the new screenshot ability (previously bookmarks), you have a MUCH higher level of customizability and the ability to interact and select items from the screenshot, and add multiple levels of redaction! In the new image editor, you can add hotspots and redact sensitive content. In this example, the accounts and URL has been redacted: Even though using dummy data is recommended, should you accidently show sensitive data – you can now hide it!
In ClickLearn Attain using notes is far more intuitive and already from the first click you are presented with a choice of how the content block will manifest itself visually: Additionally, based on customer feedback you can now use any typical text editor formatting: We have also listened to the need for hyperlinks, they can be used too of course: Choosing exactly where the note will be places now has a proper explanation as well: We hope the new and revised way to use custom text and images via the content block feature is something you are as excited about as we are 😊
Welcome to another post about our upcoming ClickLearn Attain major product release. Today’s post will focus on producing content! In the current version of ClickLearn, depending on your production selection and size, producing content can be a time-consuming process. We know some customers have large and complex productions, which means finishing them may take several hours to complete. This has therefore been high up on our improvement list for ClickLearn Attain.ClickLearn Attain is built to thrive in the cloud, and this enables us to use cloud-based resources to speed up your production of content significantly. It also means you will not (with a few exceptions) have to manually run to complete a production process in ClickLearn Attain. In fact, a lot of the production will happen in the background while you are working in ClickLearn Attain, without bothering you, locking the application, or slowing it down.We also know a number of customers are in certain sectors where cloud usage is
Once more a warm, sunny summer Friday in Copenhagen has arrived, and with it a new Developer’s Diary post. Today, we will look at how we plan to remove the known pains associated with assets management in ClickLearn - which is managing external images, such as process diagrams.Meet the Assets directory!Assets directoryAssets are external files such as (but not limited to) images. Assets can be uploaded to, and organized in folders, in the Assets directory.Upload menuEach project in ClickLearn will have its own Assets directory. You can upload files or folders with files to the Assets directory.Search across multiple projects (if permissions allow)Authors can add assets to recordings via the editor, and can search for assets across multiple projects, if permissions allow it.That’s all about assets for now. Feel free to use the comments below and let us know what you think about the changes. Next week we will look closer at handling translations in ClickLearn Attain.
