What do you do to keep consistency in the training materials you are preparing? We have multiple authors so each has a slightly different style. We have created some standards to keep things consistent so I am curious if others do the same. What kind of standards do you have?
I am currently updating the training material of our company, Rockwool International A/S by using clicklearn, so would like to get more insights from the people already using it. I would highly appreciate the people in this community, if they could share their experiences so far. On top of that, it would be awesome if we can organise a skype/teams session to view your work for inspiration.
Good afternoon! I was wondering if anyone using Dynamics 365 and trying to produce a CRM Help has run into this warning? The entire verbiage: The producer reported the following: “D365 CRM INSIDE HELP: Warning: No assist repository available for language 1033 - English (United States). Please make sure that Main Content has been defined for this language.” My Main Content has “1033 - English...” checked, as do all of my recordings/books/shelfs/CRM Help. Any ideas? I wonder if this has anything to do with my publishing and none of my books/shelfs/recordings showing up in the Portal? Thanks in advance!! Kori
Whenever I use replay as a test tool (e.g. regression test after a new release) and I create records in dynamics, I would like to have the text entries made dynamic by embedding variables such as timestamps, counters, or other parameters. Examples: every time I execute replay, the record I create would contain a timestamp in a field such “Test 2020-07-21 14:48:15”. if I am creating several identical records in succession, I could differentiate them using a counter and/or timestamp. I define a central parameter for the replay run (depending on several contexts such as, in which environment I am executing replay, which user is executing etc.) and embed this parameter in the respective steps of the recording. Additionally it would be a good idea, if I can use these variables not just in entering texts, but also in other input contexts, like hyperlinks etc.
Hello all,I am wondering if there is a way to resize the (green) thumbnail image window after recording my scenarios? I’m trying to really hone in on what I want our users to see and would like to know if there is a way to make the green box smaller? Thanks in advance,Kori LeBlanc
Did you know that you can? add step numbers to your ClickLearn recording(s) by modifying the ‘Recording Template’ 1. Tools->Preferences->Templates->Recording Template 2. Expand PROCESS INSTRUCTION 3. Click on STEPNUMBER 4. Replace Language Independent with %1. 5. SAVE As 6. Create Content->Produce
Hi, we have at the moment around 30 Authors in different locations who are using ClickLearn. We are looking for a nice solution how everybody can use the same customized Template. Especially for changes in the Speech Editor and the Recording Template. Currently most of my colleagues saved their template locally or on their VM’s - problem: When we update the Template (for e.g. with customizations for a new connector) every author has to change to the new template as well and all local changes on the Speech Editor are lost. What are your best practices - can all the authors work on the same template? What are pros and cons of saving the Template to a network drive?
Hi all,Here is an update on the Attain release! We are pleased to announce our new Attain solution was released internally on Oct 2nd as planned. We unfortunately have had to delay the release to general availability due to delays in delivering associated services including related backend services, support services and in-app assistance services. We are sorry to disappoint those of you who have eagerly awaited to experience the release. Currently over 40 ClickLearners including developers, QA testers, 1st & 2nd line supporters, evangelists and trainers, are all burning the midnight oil to finalize all deliverables. We will be showing Attain during Get Smarter: Attain next week, and we expect all associated services to be ready right after the conference, which means we can start releasing Attain to those of you who have signed up for the release.Stay tuned for more updates!/Team ClickLearn
Happy Friday Everyone! I was wondering, when we have a license for X simultaneous users, what happens when X+1 user tries to login - do they get an error message when trying to login? Also, if ClickLearn is installed on a remote server in which people access via VPN/Remote Desktop, is there any issues known if multiple people are accessing the software on that machine (under different instances) simultaneously? Thanks -Kevan
Did you know that you can build and share a URL to automatically launch a user directly into a Showme video? Just add: &t=showme to the end of an existing recording URL ! Example: https://help.clicklearn.com/ClickLearn%20Learning%20Portal/ClickLearn%20Learning%20Portal.htm?b=Product%20Documentation&r=Introduction&t=showme If this doesn’t work in your environement and if you are comfortable working with your template, add the following to ASIDEOBJECT_JSV. Otherwise request from ClickLearn Support.
Previously, when reviewing the feedback in the portal the most recent items would be displayed at the top. Reviewing this week that no longer seems to be the case. Instead it is showing them in order from oldest to newest. We would like to see the new feedback first and then be able to scroll for other feedback. It would also be nice if the date was shown with each feedback item. I am viewing this on the Dashboard in the Portal then comparing it with the oData export. We primarily use the Dashboard to monitor.

A suggestion from a colleague I work with was that it would be useful to have the ability to redact login details on the screenshots. This would involve some basic editing tools to be available in the Thumbnail editor. I also think this would be useful in other contexts too.
I am just learning ClickLearn. In an effort to teach myself, I decided to replay videos that had been recorded previously. Even if I use the raw unedited recording, ClickLearn still cannot find any steps during the replay. I have been playing with the template...could that be why? Does anyone have any tips or tricks, or should I just submit a case. Thank you!
Has anyone found a way to embed a Showme video in a web page?Playing with video.js, but it can’t seem to read the clicklearn output. I am currently linking to the showme directly using a Community tip (thanks Michael), but it returns to the clicklearn portal rather than my page. And it is a link… I’d rather embed so the user can watch the video on the same page if they so choose. I should note that my site does not support embedding the windows movie player.
