Hi all - I’m new to the Community, and ClickLearn too.

I’m trying to upload a large file (a training session recording made in Teams) as an asset into my project. The file is 1,500MB in size. I’ve tried to upload it as a recording asset a couple of times, but it keeps failing to upload.

Is there a size limit for files that can be addded as assets in ClickLearn Studio?

Many thanks

Scott

Hi Scott,

While it should be possible to upload up to 4GB files, i would not recommend it.

That video will take a long time for people to load, what i can recommend is that you use Handbrake to re-code the file, it should help with the size with minimal impact to quality and people should be fine loading it.

Alternatively you can upload it to youtube or vimeo as unlisted, and then just add a link to the video on your structure, it is the better experience for the end user in my opinion. Then you don’t need to worry about handbrake either, as youtube will recode it anyway.

Excellent - thank you so much for the reply - much appreciated.
