When I group three steps and choose to keep them as text rather than bullets or numbers, it gets formatted oddly: The first two steps end up on the same line, separated by a dash that can’t be removed, while the third step gets its own line. I can’t remove the dash, and if I try to end the first step with a full stop, it’s automatically removed. This forces me to format my text around a dash that has no reason to be there.

This doesn’t happen if I merge two or four steps, only when I merge three. Is there a way to get around this and get rid of the dash?

I had to blur the text for privacy reasons, I hope this makes sense with annotation:
