Hello together,

in ClickLearn Studio there is a function to import a structure with Excel-Data.

I tried this with following Excel-Sheet (exported before from an example):

ClickLearn Studio shows then a message on the Window buttom:

But there is no structure imported. I didn’t find any information in the documentation.

Do I need different Excel-Columns for correct importing?

Best regards,

Eduard

Hi @Eduard Sammereier

The phrasing is a bit misleading, you are not exporting the structure to excel - you are exporting the structure segmentation to excel.

That explains the message from ClickLearnStudio.

As I understand:

The first screenshot shows the menu for exporting the structure to excel. There is an menu item for importing the structure. What means this to import?

Should it be named: Import Segmentation from excel?

Hi Eduard,

yes, it should be renamed in my opition. I have sent the feedback to the dev team.

if you want to import the structure from another project, you can use the regular “import structure…” option.

ok. I understand.

We hoped, that editing a complex hierarchie could be supported by an import of an Excel-List.

Thanks for clearification.

It is intended for segmentation. Some companies have hundreds of segments, it was to support those we made it possible.

We have hundreds of segments, too. It was not clear what is realy imported with this function.

I agree Educard, i hope we can change the name soon.

If you have hundreds of segments you want to use with your structure, then this feature will be a awesome for you :)
