Changing the captured step

When capturing a button function , example: Click OK, ClickLearn records the step as “Click on the button OK.”I would like to change the wording for this for all steps and not have to manually change each step.Can you tell me how to change it so ClickLearn records it as just “click OK” or whatever button name we are referring to?I only want this change to happen for any buttons that have to be clicked on.Lorie

numbering steps

Hi everyone,I would like to be able to number the steps from inside my recording.It would be especially useful when proofing someone else’s work. I could then call out which step needs to be reviewed.As well, when using the video editor, if you edit a step, sometimes the video will return back to the beginning instead of the edited step.Knowing which step you were on would make it much easier to locate that step on continue on.Does anyone know how this can be done?I did see a “Did you know” comment on doing exactly this, but I think it was in Classic and not Attain.Any help would be great. Removing short cuts

I would like to remove the keyboard short cut option that is added to my recorded steps.CL helped me once to remove it from a project, however I have created a new project and the keyboard short cuts are back.Example : Press Shift + F5 key. Please tell me how I can turn this off. ThanksLorie

viewing the PDF

Hi there,I am wondering if someone can please explain why the PDF document does not format the same way as the format created in the written editor?I take my time to make sure I am happy with the way the format looks while in the written editor.I then select Preview. The steps from the Preview page match the format in the written editor.From the Preview page, I select PDF and the format is different!I know some of our users like to print the PDF, so it is important that visually it is appealing and easy to follow. It becomes more work for me when I now have to return to the written editor and reformat it so the PDF is formatted in a way I am happy with.Because of this, it has added extra work for me and my team.in the PDF- spacing and bullets may look different words have extra spaces or not enough sentences that have a space between them in the editor are crammed together in the PDF as well as other smaller issuesCan someone please explain why this happens and if there is some sort of

We have a department that would like to use our modules, however they would like to plan how long it would take someone to view all the existing modules.It would be ideal if there was a location in the Portal that indicates how many total hours of recorded video there is, as well as per Heading (group)If one department was only interested in viewing a particular group of modules, it would be ideal to know how many hours for that single group.Hopefully this is something that ClickLearn can add.It would definitely assist in planning training initiatives. Release notificationNew

Could a notification icon be added to CL Attain notifying us that an update or release has been done?The notification icon would stay there until you clicked on it and opened the details. I don’t frequently check to see if one was done, but I certainly would if there was something prompting me.Lorie L

Recording self using CLNew

I was asked to add my question as an idea and feature request.The original question… I enjoy watching Morten’s corner and love that Morten is able to record himself using CL. As training new employees, I would like to be able to record myself using CL instead of having to personally train each employee.Is this a software you use within CL that allows you to record yourself or do you use something else?REPLY...May I kindly suggest you consider posting this as a feature request. I think you both have some good reasons behind, to want this to be available in the product. If you post it as a feature request, I will make sure we have Joachim look into whether it would be viable to make it available. Thank you for considering this option. Lorie L

Linking modules in different projects

We have multiple projects that are regularly being used by different users.Some of our modules are being used within each of those projects. Meaning the same module can be in 3 different projects.Is it possible to make a change in one module in one project and have the same module in a different project updated at the same time?It is very time consuming having to make the changes in each project.Lorie

Fast forward and RewindNew

Suggestion: Can a fast forward and rewind option be available when viewing the recordings?There are a couple of playbacks that would benefit from this.Video editor Show me preview Show me for the userAdding a 10 sec rewind and fast forward would make it much easier when editingAdding rewind and fast forward arrows will also help the user if they need to go back to reference a specific part in the video or look for something specific ThanksLorie L

Moving modules with the StructureNew

I find it very difficult to move a module title that I have placed within a Section from the Structure.I have many modules for a specific topic and I would like them to be in order of importance.Currently, you can try to drag the module and place it where you would like it.This does not always work and I end up spending a lot of time trying to get it in just the right order.Suggestion: Can you add a “Move up or down” arrow or right click option within the structure? changing the structure layout

Hi againI am enjoying CL Attain, but I have so many questions. Please forgive me if they have already been answered. I do try to search first before I ask my question.I saw one of your posts about structuring the modules, however I saw the structure layout looked very different than mine. I actually prefer your layout.Can you tell me how I can go about changing how my portal looks?The image below reflects my current portal… How can I change this? Your post showed icons with the recordings and headings within the structure.I would love to make this more attractive to our audience.We know we can modify the icon and colour but would love to make the layout better.Thanks Lorie D

How to change the saved location in Attain

I imported my modules from CL Classic. I want to change the location they are saved from but cannot tell the path the same way you can in CL Classic.I cannot even tell where they are saved. Can you please tell me how to view the saved path and how to change it? Much appreciated!Lorie
