NEED TO KEEP REPEATER - please vote!

All, My understanding is that “REPEATER” functionality will go away in the near future - please vote for this and help keep this great tool in service! In short, REPEATER allows advanced CL admins to create automated testing where you can refer to an excel spreadsheet to get values. This is more useful than CASES because you have the ability to randomly get variables in Excel (with formulas) which makes testing much more useful. Often times yu will get a list of items from Operations in an excel sheet and it is very easier to transform those values into a REPEATER template. With REPEATER, I can easily create 100 random requests/tasks based on formulas I write in excel. While CASES are very beneficial and they have unique features with the xml file, it doesn’t replace REPEATER. PLEASE VOTE to keep this.

How to use insert elements "Additional"

I would like to know more about the functionality of the “Additional” button on the edit page for a recording. I can’t find any documentation on this, the closet I have found is “Edit Work Instruction - Insert Elements” in the help section. While in the developer role it seems as though we are able to write multiple choice questions. I can write a question and a single answer, but not multiple choices. How are we supposed to enter the Option Text and Option Tags to have multiple choices?

Hi,I try to evaluate Click2Learn Attain, but I’m not able to connect to our MS D365 CE onpremise instance! I can login with the same credentials in google chrome, but Click2Learn.InsideHelp says it is INVALID why?

Repurposing the email field to use Microsoft 365 Forms

All,We are publishing outside of the CL cloud and hosting training content in OneDrive. With that our ability to use the feedback forms and ratings are not an option for us (that’s a different thread how to turn that off). In this example, I repurposed the email address field and master shelf and book templates to post a link back to Microsoft 365 Forms as our feedback and survey tool. The end result is a standard link which links back to our Microsoft Forms page. Step 1: post your link in the feedback email address field in preferences. Because the way the templates dynamically produce webpages, you cannot just stuff the link in the html templates, you have to call the link from this field. Step 2: in the shelf and book templates, under ENDOBJECT0, I am replacing the <li class=”support”> … </li> with the contents below. The variance %7 is the email field from the previous step that I am repurposing for the external link. Reproduce and enjoy!

Is there a setting I can change to reflect a revision number anytime I make a change to a document? and some type of revision control where if needed, I could still see the previous revisions?

Using ClickLearn from iPads

Question: I am publishing my content to OneDrive. I have a group of users that are on iPads and want to watch the videos and use the “shelf” on an iPad. What options are available to make this happen. Thank you for your time! Please note: I will not be producing any content on an iPad, just watch videos and using the content published on the shelf.

Adding a custom button to the shelf/book template

Hi All, I’ve learned a lot from this community so wanted to take a moment and give something back; this is not too complicated or difficult. I wanted to add a custom button to the shelf template, next to the ‘download full portal’ existing button. The button I am adding is “Download Glossary” which is an external link. To this to I copied the html code for “Download full portal” and added it below the existing button, then added the variable name in FINALREPLACE. Lots of different ways to do this, this is just one way to get there. Enjoy!

Attain: Spell Check in Edit

After the latest release (7th May) the spell check does not appear to be working and is marking all words as incorrect spellings. This happens when making changes to existing text and adding new text. Please can someone advise whether this is a know issue for if I need to report it as a new issue.

Evaluation Screen: At the end of the Test Me process

All, Quick question: where in the script can I add the TITLE VARIABLE to the evaluation screen? The Test Me evaluation screen is awesome but needs a title. It would be nice to tuck in the title variable and make this dynamic. Obviously this is a nice advanced feature for those of us in classic and not publishing to the CL cloud, we don’t have stats or scores (we’re publishing to OneDrive). From here, it would be very nice for an end-user to screen clip the results. Once I find the location in the script for this screen, I may turn it into a certificate of completion later.

How to move the Video title up a couple of rows?

Good evening! I have been unable to locate in the html templates where I can move the title up one or two rows on the recording titles? Does anyone know where to move this title? The title bleeds over into our logo and I don’t want to rebuild the video intro images. Thanks for your time!

Is there a way to call attention to a field without having to click in it?

Sometimes in a course I want to point out or call attention to a field or the data in the field but do not need the user to actually click in the field or take any action. Such as pointing out that the data in the field changed. Is there an action, like a mouse hover, that will do that?

Dynamics CRM & CliclLearn Portal

I am curious how other authors are pointing their audience to the ClickLearn Portal. Our CRM Dynamics is very customozed and I would like to see how others are using the ClickLearn icon for User navigation to the Portal. I am wanting to put the ClickLearn icon on the task bar within each CRM entity (we have several) so User just click and land in the portal like:What are the rest of you doing to get your Users to the Portal?

Success! I was able to use Replay with Cases!!!

Thanks for the supporting videos and this community website, I was able to successfully move from repeater to cases to replay steps in IFS6. Exciting!

Issues within IFS and the green box for the click location

When recording within IFS, all of my clicks give me the whole screen, not just the specific box (area) that I click on. It seems to work fine for all other applications, just IFS.
