For anyone who uses Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement and Business Central, a colleague of mine has the following question:   If a customer starts with a £49 Sales Professional license can they then buy a Business Central attach licence and if Yes how much is it?   Might be a long shot but if anyone has any knowledge on the subject, thoughts would be very much appreciated!

Hi,  I have folders that have clicklearn content in them that someone else did the recordings they send me the folder content but not a .clrx file for them.  How can I open those?

Suggestion - we need to be able to format notes - e.g. add font effects like bold or underline and have support for an <a> tag for a link (as opposed to just pasting a link).  To me this is quite a limitation in the software, I’ve read in places you don’t allow it to keep formatting consistent between authors (not sure if this is true), but at the end of the day, that should be for the organization to manage, not you to decide.  Just omit <tags> from your other outputs including the text-to-speech. As for placing links within a note; for example to link to a sub-chapter within the recording, the problem is that this information also shows up in the PDF file as plain text and can be quite sloppy and confusing for viewers.   I’m assuming there’s no way to have two notes; and dictate which note appears in which outputted version (e.g. have a note for web only, and then another note for word/pdf/etc)?

How can I … I need to create work instructions building a Power BI report in Power BI Desktop. I tried using the following different CL connectors to no avail: Windows Applications; Web Applications; Microsoft Power BI Web App. It is not recognising anything in the product. No green window to record. Please advise how to achieve this recording.

Happy Friday Everyone! I was wondering, when we have a license for X simultaneous users, what happens when X+1 user tries to login - do they get an error message when trying to login? Also, if ClickLearn is installed on a remote server in which people access via VPN/Remote Desktop, is there any issues known if multiple people are accessing the software on that machine (under different instances) simultaneously? Hey ClickLearn Community, I recently tried updating my ClickLearn installation to version 11.0.0.74. Unfortunately, the program would no longer record my mouse clicks and would only show one entry for any keyboard inputs. I tried reinstalling with no luck. But I did have an older installer, so I  downgraded to 11.0.0.72 and it seems to be working fine again. Has anyone else had any issues?

I’ve noticed that in multi-chapter Show Me videos the image that belongs to the following chapter appear one or two seconds immediately before the actual chapter name appears. Let me try to explain a different way with a simple example: Chapter 1 contains one image we will call “Image A”. Chapter 2 contains a different image we will call “Image B”. The video plays in this order: “Image A” shows throughout Chapter 1. At the end of Chapter 1 “Image B” suddenly appears, even though it’s not connected to any Notes or Steps belonging to Chapter 1. The Chapter 2 title screen appears. Then Chapter 2 proceeds along with “Image B”. ClickLearn support says they are looking into this, but I wondered if anyone else here had encountered this, and if so, what sort of solution you may have come up with. Thank you.

Did you know that you can?   Manage your users if you are the Admin to your ClickLearn Portal. Login to the portal https://portal.clicklearn.dk/ with your credentials and click the link ‘Users’.  You can now manage your users. (Create New, Modify Existing, Reset Password, Send License Email etc….)  One of three roles can be assigned to a user. (Customer-Admin, Customer-Author or Customer-EndUser).   NOTE - Ensure that you send the new user their temporary password and if the user will be an Admin or an Author you will also send the license email.

Hello I am trying to edit the HTML Title of the produced web pages.   By default it looks like it’s <title>%1</title> which can be found within the HTML/Title element of the template, but I can’t figure out how to get it to say the actual recording Title there, and not the Shelf.  %1 appears to be the shelf.  I looked down a bit more in the template and noticed under the body it uses %8 for the topic title (in the local-title h1 element), but when I tried to use %8 for this field, it returned an empty value. So a couple questions: What %variable do I need to refer to in order to get the Topic Title in the Html Title element? Is there a master list of these %1, %2, %3, etc and how they work? Obviously I couldn’t just use %8 which works later in the template in this spot, why is that? Thank you -Kevan

Hello We link to our ClickLearn content from Wiki pages on a SharePoint site - we don’t use the shelf/book system for the end user at this time, however it will be a handy feature for the training and development team to keep items organized. So, if the user ends up on the recording page from a SharePoint wiki link, essentially it will hide a couple elements - the breadcrumb trail, and the page navigation (forward/back) on the sides of the page.  This will stop them from navigating through the book. However if someone on the development side is navigating the book, I don’t want those items to be hidden. I can handle the jQuery and Javascript to achieve this, what I am wondering is the right place in the template to put the following items.  I can tell its going to be in the HTML/GlobalScript(JS or CSS) portion of the template, but which one? If I’m loading my own JS library, should which template should it appear in (Recording vs Book vs

(If you have a process and during the process the user needs to make a decision, or follow different steps depending on the outcome of the previous step) e.g. Some steps previous Does the customer exist in our system? When I’m adding notes to a recording I can’t figure out how to use spell check.   Anyone have a tip?

What is the requirement for producing a shelf? Example: I have a two books within the Shelf, Book A, and Book B, and within Book A, I have Recording 1 & 2, and in Book B, I have recording 3 & 4. After putting the recordings into their respective books, and then adding those books to the shelf, is it enough to just produce the shelf or do I have to produce the recordings first, then the books, and finally the shelf?  

Is it possible to limit what an end user sees within a shelf/book? We have some 'management' tutorials which I don't need everyone to see or have access to… We publish our content on an internal server. 

Hi, I would like to learn a little bit more about how to handle and manage metadata information. I know how to enter metadata information on Recordings, Books and Shelves. It is quite easy.  I would like to know how to set up the different metadata fields on a Word or PPT Template. Could I get an step by step guide? Many thanks in advance!.

Hi just started learning Clicklearn and have a few tests but I dont see the option to have the Digital Assistant available in the recordings.  Is that something that is setup in the settings?
